The Verge at Work is a series about process. We're not scientists, and we're not gurus, we're just trying to get some work done. The solutions presented here are highly personal, and highly personalized. Not the only way, but our way.

Cameras in the iPhone have progressed considerably over the years, but so have the apps you can use to process your photos. Getting the shot just right requires a good starting image — one that's well exposed and sharp. After that, you can play with various HDR processes and move on to filters that add personality and texture to an image. Add a little sharpening, adjust the color temperature, tweak the contrast, and you've got an image that stands out from a run-of-the-mill mobile photo.
