The Rudin Luxury Condo Conversion Plan for St. Vincent's Hospital was approved on Monday, Jan. 23, 2012, by Amanda Burden, the Park Avenue socialite, who volunteers to be City Planner for New York City. Other political enablers have joined Ms. Burden in aiding the Rudin Family's scheme to convert what used to be the only full-service hospital and Level 1 Trauma Center that served the Lower West Side of Manhattan into luxury condominiums and deluxe townhouses.
With St. Vincent's closed, the West Side still has no hospital beds below 57th Street. How can we bring a hospital back to our community ? How can we get true universal healthcare ? Come Join the Discussion ! RSVP at the Facebook page for the St. Vincent's Community Assembly.

This was a blatant kabash of the 99% in favor of the 1% and OWS and Move.On are organizations that allow the 99% to be heard. Amanda Burden should be hit by a cab on the lower west side or a member of her family. Our 20,000+ petitioned Greenwich Community despises the Rudin's for paying nothing for property and de frauding us with some LIJ/North Snore JV 2 bed Urgent Care center in stead of retrofitting a Trauma 1/ This urgent care center at O'toole was donated by Rudin, but no title exchanged.

Word on the street is that, after the luxury condo conversion hearing, Bill Rudin asked if Amanda Burden would like any campaign contributions the way that the Rudin family have made campaign donations to New York City Council Speaker Christine Quinn.

Louis: Thank you for your leadership and for the exhaustive work you have done to educate the public about the Rudin fiasco and to hold politicians accountable for failing to protect their constituents while repaying campaign donors. The system is broken...
