A Great Carl Sagan Video

The late Carl Sagan (1934-1996) was a hero in the scientific community and a role model for everyone else around the world. Carl Sagan's' influences carry today because his words, hence his empirical point of view, seem to be ever more appropriate in our current economic and political climate.

The video does not advocate that Carl Sagan supported The Zeitgeist Movement as he passed long before its conception. Rather, using his own words, to simply show how Carl Sagan was in line with the thoughts and direction of this movement that concerns all of human kind.

I completely understand his logic with the Star Wars reference but I think of Star Wars (at least the original series) as a work of art, therefore I feel it can beneficial to the people in many ways. Of course this can be debated with the countless high budget films throughout the years. In terms of movies and entertainment I think it is up to the people to make genuine creations no matter the medium... even if does cost quite a bit.

Sagan is not referencing Star Wars (the film series), he referring to Ronald Reagan's 'Star Wars' or 'Strategic Defense Initiative' in the 1980's.

Wonderful, brilliant and inspiring! One error in the video about slavery being eliminated. This is not only incorrect but today (16 years after Sagan's death) there are approximately 25 million people living in slavery.
