From May 16th, 2004, here is the first in a series of clips celebrating WGME's 50th Anniversary on the air (first as WGAN-TV). Among the people seen in this clip are "Cap'n" Lloyd Knight, singer Ken MacKenzie, and Meterologist Bob O'Wril. This package ran in two different lengths on-air; the shorter one was recorded in SP (I used the SP source whenever possible, so the clock in the corner changes time occasionally). It is also why it is introduced by Kiley Bennett and finishes with Kim Block, Gregg Lagerquist, and Dave Eid.

  • I live less then 20 miles from where the Edwards mill used to be. I remember that night well. When nightfall came you could see the orange glow in the sky even from our house. Later on in life I lived on Cony Circle. That small clip brings back a lot of memories
