  • @rigamarrow This I know, there are forming 13th CAB next year at Carson, I might just reenlist

  • @MontezumaUH60 Every division now includes an aviation brigade; intelligence has become a combat branch and includes long range recon in their battalions. The AirCav function has gone to the 101st Airborne.

  • @rigamarrow The cavalry is the US Army.

  • The us Army sings it as She wore it for lover who is far, far away!Far away! far away! She wore it for her lover who is far, far away!

  • John Wayne is a star of stars and no one can be as good as Duke.

  • HOOAH

  • John Ford, what a director! When he shot in black and white he used a heavy red filter that pushed the contrast level of the film that made the scene the hi-def of it´s time.

He also went to his grave with 11 pieces of metal from his filming of the Battle of Midway. This and The Quiet Man, are his best color films.

A friend of mine played poker with him, John Wayne, Sam Johnson and others. He lost everything but said it was the best night of his life.

  • anyone know the name of the irish toon or song that plays when john wayne sends the scout off?

  • old Ben Johnson. Seems like he was in every old John Wayne western. Always played a scout or loyal sidekick. Never had more than ten lines to say. I always thouht he was a football buddy of Duke's. Then I saw him in "The last picture show" and found out he was a real actor. And a good one.

  • So stirring.
