In this tutorial we will go about creating a brush using one of the basic brushes included with Photoshop and we will edit this brush to paint randomized sparkles which we will then duplicate, blur, colorize, and blend a little to create a cool fantasy type effect that is nice in any photo or illustration! My brushes palette only has the thumbnails the preview at the bottom and the check boxes at the side but I don't see the options for spacing and the circle with the cross in it anywhere, any ideas anyone (I'm using cs3)

Sorry in advance for being a noob, this is my first day with photoshop... I followed the instructions perfectly but when I try to use my sparkle trails they're so tiny I can barely see them. I even went through it 3 times to make sure my settings are the same. I am stuck. :(
