It wasn't that he had enough or that he "let" Kron take his back, he was just in a very tight gi choke and stood up out of it and barely made it out of it before he passed out... when they broke you see him stagger as he falls on Kron, Kron then pulls away and swoops around him. Fred was almost unconscious and that is why he just stayed on all 4's. imo.
