Progression. An ongoing video diary of my attempt to achieve what I consider a better complexion by getting the Vitalize Peel, facials as well as possibly the Laser Genesis AND also some laser hair removal q&a.

  • This video was so informative, thank you very much for your wisdom :)

  • @entertainer4ever You are very welcome!

  • Two years ago I went for laser hair removal for my bikini line. the lady that did it have experience with African Americans. She scared me very badly! My skin was burnt and it's left dark burns spots! Thank God those scars went away. It took forever for it to heal and for the scars to cease! So ask many questions to whoever you plan to go to!!!!!!

  • @TheShakarasmith Yes!! Ask as many questions as it takes and then ask some more! I'm SO glad the scars went away.

I'll keep saying this forever. The YAG laser is the only one safe for darker skin tones at the moment. Make sure this is the laser that's being used. Also, make sure they do a test spot. Get the settings. Shave as close as you can get - no waxing. And make sure you ask for a mirror to look especially if it hurts. It should sting a little but if it hurts that's not good.

  • @kmcl11 The thing is... you shouldn't experience any burning and if you do, they've done it wrong. Always research the reviews of the place you're going and always make sure you know what laser they're using and what level. Research research research!

  • @kmcl11 Yeah you can tell immediately if you've been burnt. I used to dance with fire and I've been burnt before and being burnt by a laser far worse than by fire.

When she was doing it, it just felt wrong, too 'hot' for lack of a better word, very uncomfortable AND I had numbing cream on. She had cranked the level up too high and only lowered it when I demanded a lower setting. Looking at their reviews since then I wasn't the only one burnt (of every ethnicity). Scar finally faded.

  • I hear you! Less hair works as well. This is a great procedure in the right hands. Just as I've mentioned, make sure the person you go to has experience doing people who has the similar skin tone as you! Especially since you're interesting in having the procedure done on your face. If you get it done, lemme know how it goes :-)

  • Hi :)

Thanks for this info! I would be happy with just LESS hair, even if it grows back as long as it's finer than now lol (made the mistake of shaving my sideburns as a child). I'm so glad this procedure has come along so that we may also have the luxury of a hairless face.
