Texas prisons ends last meals in executions

I was reading a article on Texas ending last meals for death row inmates about to executed...This past Wed Lawerence Russel Brewer was executed and ordered up some good eats and didn't eat a drop prompting the Texas department of criminal Justice to do away with this privilege...I had to talk about it the only way I know how The Tajha Talks way

Also a waste of tax payees money I'm sure!! I was feeling bad 4 the prisoners at 1st thinking, "man they should be getting a last meal they about to die" until you brought up the point that the person they killed didn't get a chance at a last meal!!! So damn true!!!

i agree, next they need to eliminate the recreational rooms, tv and other luxury provided, they need to be made to work to provide the releif tothier vicitims and not be eligible till victim claims they have been made whole, and if the victim dies prior to their being made whole, then prisoner is in for life. this system need to be turned on its head and become a justice system.

@DK3CHAMP "Tradition" isn't exactly the best argument for anything (like we shouldn't say burning witches is okay because it was tradition). If anything, the death penalty should be abolished since innocent people will be put to death. And prosecutors are assholes. They want a person to be guilty regardless of the evidence.

I think you fail to realize that most people who are in these prisons, aren't all murders or rapists. Most of these people just did something really stupid and didn't kill anyone in the process (i.e. theft or drugs). And if they did, how does taking someone's right to having their last meal make you a better human being? Not to mention the prisons already took LUNCHES away from them on weekends. Texas is basically becoming closer to having concentration camps, that is not something to celebrate.

as a texan I'm ashamed of my state. The death penalty is a horrible part of our so called correction system I hate the idea of people being murdered in my name especially since DNA is proving so many people who are in jail are there in error. Also we are not to stoop to the level of a killer we should treat people with reverence even no especially when they don't deserve it thats what makes us a step above animals We have got to do better people

your stupid if you think that cutting there last meal is a good idea your also stupid if you think they shouldn't get it yea they might of killed people but they spent their time in prison and are about to be killed that is how the system is supposed to work most of these people who are lifers probably become better citizens then half the people running around now a days
