This man invented the universal tuning for steel guitar. I read his article in Guitar Player in '77 when I had my 12 string MSA and converted it over. Two necks in one...sorta.....

I met Jeff years ago in Watertown. I was introduced by my good friend Bob Browning at one of the steel jams they used to have there....2 greater men have not walked the earth!

Jeff is without a doubt one of the Grand Masters of the E9/B6 Universal tuning and THE Grand Master of pedal steel instruction. His music and innovations will live on!!
