KILDALE TO NEWTON UNDER ROSEBERRY
The walk continues... in blustery weather we climb to Captain Cook's monument and over to Roseberry Topping.
This short video shows the extra few miles we did in the late afternoon before returning to Kildale for the night. When I was very young I could see Roseberry Topping in the distance from my bedroom window. Since then it has become a favourite for a short but satisfying climb with views of the northern moors and the sea.

n.b. This complete video of the Cleveland Way was filmed and edited on VHS tape in 1984, 23 years ago!

Oh dear! I've just spotted an error in the voice-over from 1984 - i.e. I described Roseberry Topping as a small Hiroshima! I meant to say Fujiyama. Still nobody noticed!
