This is an outrage!!! BSL is coming for your Dog next!!!
All you dog lovers out there may just be in for a shock. BSL - or breed-specific legislation and breed discriminstion- isn't just for pitbulls or Rottweilers anymore
The RDOWS has tracked a list of 75 breeds of dogs that have been banned or restricted - yep - that's Seventy-five. That's 75!
Just who or what is behind this breed ban frenzy?

Media Frenzy Equals Breed Bans

And just who is pouring gasoline onto the fire, whipping up the flames of pit bull hysteria? Who is driving the onslaught of anti-dog legislation?

Your local paper, TV or radio station - with innacurate reports than use inflammatory language ("vicious" Rottweiler, "marauding" pitbulls, etc.) and show UNRELATED footage of dogfights supplied by the Humane Society of the United States.
Across the country - and indeed around the world - cities, counties and local town councils are busy banning or restricting breeds instead of punishing irresponsible behavior.

Here's what is happening:

Breed bans - an outright ban on owning a specific breed of dog

Breed-specific sterilization - owners are forced to spay or neuter animal

Breed-specific

Breed-specific insurance requirements - forces owners to obtain the unobtainable "vicious" breed insurance - in reality this forces owners to surrender dogs or move

Weight or size restrictions - banning dogs over an arbitrarily determined weight or size - as in Fairfield, Iowa where all dogs over 100 lbs are banned (St. Bernard, Irish Wolfhound, Great Dane, etc.)

BTW - your insurance company is happily waiting in the background too - waiting to exclude coverage of your dog, waiting to drop your policy, or waiting to outrageously raise your rates.

You Don't Have To Never Worry About The Name Pit Bull, You Have To Worry About The Owners That Are Cruel And Take An Innocent Animal And Turn Them Into Killing Machines, If An Owner Of A Pit Bull Can Do That To An Animal, Them What Can They Do To You, Think About It. For 3 days I passed a pit mix that was set off on the river road in Castlewood. On the forth day I could not take it, I pulled over and said to myself, "if he is friendly and will get in the van I will take him home".

He was extremely gentle and he went home with me.

I then said to myself, "if he doesn't harm my kids or cats and don't mess in the house I will keep him".

He plays and sleeps with my cats and my kids can play as rough as they want with him.

@UltraMankiller Yeah, but my man was abused, He was beaten to make "mean", had his ears cut off with scissors, and then dumped because he wasn't "mean" enough. He didn't start off with the best life, but he still turned into a big lap dog who is a cuddler.

@UltraMankiller My man loves children, animals (including dogs, rats, mice, rabbits, cats and more). Instead of hating an animal that you don't know much about, and only hear negativity surrounding them, actually research them They are intelligent, loyal, loving dogs that will put their own life on the line for their humans. My man is a mush, and he is a cuddler. You hear about the attacks because that's what people want you to hear about. Humans will never take the blame for something they did.

DAMN! i'm litterally crying right now I have to just sit and watch as this beautiful am staff ,hazel, waits to die in a shelter. If only every one got to know the true am staff. AHHHHHH! I am virtually going insane! Those stupid pitbull breeders, fighters, and haters. It's because of this emphasis on the pit bull and amstaff that I can't get this truly great dog which would have been perfectly fine if I was a golden or a lab!

I love my Pitt.... raised him from 9wks old, he was a rescue from a shelter where his mother had to be put down, because she was a bait dog for fighting, and was injured. Kipper is the best behaved dog. He lives with 4 kids, and 6 cats and has NEVER snapped at, growled or bit any of them......
