@lacrosseplayer49 no actually they r not wrong. its super easy to say all of that whole "self love" stuff when you personally have not gone through it. you just have a diferent (healthier) perspective on life. some of us r not that lucky. i personally have faught with depression for a while and tried to kill myself once. its really hard for some of us to love ourselves, so we compensate by hurting ourselves...self love is a privilege that not all of us have been given.

@Bearz95 I used to be ashamed, now I'm proud. I didn't do it for attention and I'm not proud of the fact I used too self harm, I'm proud of the fact I stoppped and turned my life around.

@peacelovepierce I just came out and told my mom about my self-injury and ed. She used to do that stuff so she was really accepting. But your parents shouldn't freak out....well, my dad did, but he's just dumb. Don't be afraid and just do it. If it helps, write a note explaining and give it to them. It's easier that way. @Bearz95 HOspitals won,t ever car,e they see too many people passing through their dors with the smae problem, it becomes redundent... I was able to get out, not because of a hospital nor meds, but becasue I found soeone who I cared for enough to fight for that person, when tihngs got tough I turned to that perosn for help, together we stopped and we are at a year and 8 dyas of no self hamr, it is possible, you just need the proper reason t fight, or you will fall back

I did so well. I stopped hurting myself for 3 months (which is a long time for me) then I just couldn't resist anymore. But this comment isn't for attention. Its for all those who struggle but want to stop. It is possible! Even for a couple of months, those months of freedom from your struggle gives you the best feeling ever! So please try to stop. If I can try, you can to.

@bananapie191 Trust me. We dont always love it. The only ones who love it are the ones who do it for attention. The rest of us are ashamed of it... hence the reason it is hidden until we are ready to ask for help. It is a very hard thing to deal with and did you ever consider that this is the only method of coping that works? Honestly I have tried getting help and nobody really cares to help at least nobody at the 3 hospitals I have been too... and no other coping skills work....
