yip a lot of people put on a front ,pretending they are happy,when they are walking about with a heavy black cloud on their shoulders,not a nice place to be.
-
our modern society doesnt allow us to be depressed or to think different. sad that so many genius people couldnt handle life and what we are doing here on earth. R.I.P. Eugene

@GrungeHead92 O.O he was only 5 years older than me. :( .

I had someone see my depression meds and say "You take those? You dont look depressed."
Im sorry, what does a depressed person look like? We're good at hiding it, and people are good at not seeing it.

Every time I see that picture of both brothers, with Shaun's head over Eugene's right
shoulder it makes me cry--you can see how much they both loved each other & I
can imagine how this devastated every single person who knew Eugene. This song & Seether's music in general have immeasurably helped my son & I begin to heal from a suicide--I lost my husband & my son lost his dad--due to a painful
injury that caused him to become addicted to prescription pain killers! Thanks Seether for the healing!

My brother and best friend took his own life February 20th 2011, on my dad's birthday. In his truck is was a copy of One Cold Night that I had given him quite a while ago.
Rise Above This, and now Pass Slowly, have helped me so much. I wish I could talk with Shaun about it.

sort of same here. I was almost killed by a former co-worker. The chaos after, a total nightmare. My whole life fell apart. My ex-fiance cheated, kicked him out, lost my life's work, friends, then lost my baby girl at 5 mo preg. Tried to die. Then I heard Rise Above This the same week. Couldn't stop crying. Did not know it was about his brother until today. His raw emotion in video, the words that went with them, help keep me going.
