Part 1 of a 2-part tutorial on triple booting your mac
-Download rEFIt at http://refit.sourceforge.net/
-disk utility
-3 partitions. Make the 2 partitions you create FAT FORMAT
-write down the sizes of the partitions cause you'll need that info later
-Order: Mac, Linux, Windows
-Install Windows FIRST!
-Make sure you install it on the right partition! reference your notes on what size the windows partition is
-Format windows as NTFS if the partition is more than 32gb
-Install Ubuntu (or any other form of linux)
-if you have questions on how to install drivers on linux, leave a comment and ill help you out
If i allready have bootcamp with win7 can i simply drag my windows over to rEFit??? Dont wanna reinstall windows all over and games n wat not.

Do you have to make it triple boot? Can you make it with just Mac and Windows?

Nice video, thank you. I was stuck on something that was problematic due to my partition scheme. I'am wondering, will refit only work with a 3 partition setup like yours? I was hoping to try it with 4 or 5. I'm just having trouble finding a good reference for that. I wanted to try a flavour of BSD and possibly Solaris.

I Dont. mine just comes up every time i boot. in fact ive noticed my refit to be even more stable than it was in snow leopard

in lion to get the rEFIt menu you have to type in terminal every time you go into mac
cd /efi/refit
./enable.sh

Anyone have any issues installing rEFIt on 10.7.1? I installed it and after the 2nd reboot, rEFIt didn't load and OS X would just hang with the pinwheel going around under the apple logo.
