This is how to get the Hadouken special attack in Mega Man X for SNES (and without getting hit!) :)

ORIGINAL HADOUKEN RUN
====================
First, you have to be sure and collect all Heart Containers, Energy Tanks and Suit Upgrades. Once you have all of these, go to Armored Armadillo's Stage and go to the cliff above the Maverick Gate at the end of the stage.

NOTE: YOU MUST REACH THE CLIFF WITHOUT SUSTAINING ANY DAMAGE! (thanks @rodencirio)

Once on the cliff, relish in the glory of your full health meter, press Start, and go to the Exit option in the menu. Cross your fingers and repeat this process a total of two times. Remember, you must make it across the chasm a total of three times without taking any damage. When you go back and repeat the stage for the third time, there will be one of Dr. Light's Capsules on the cliff. To use the Hadouken special, just press down-forward attack like you would with Ryu in Street Fighter. :)

QUICK HADOUKEN RUN
====================
You can also get the Hadouken a lot quicker by jumping off the cliff at the end and falling into the chasm, so long as you haven't incurred any damage up until that point. It starts you over a lot later on in the level, but I hate losing lives, so I play through the old-school way.

(Beaty Dubz) The password at the end is the one for every upgrade in the game.

PS: I can't count the number of times I've gone through this game just to get this upgrade. Yes, I'm good at Mega Man X :) I've played it ever since the day it came out. This game is and always will be my absolute FAVORITE game of all time, close to a tie with Zelda: A Link to the Past...but not quite. I still haven't beaten X without getting hit yet, but I'm working on it . . . the end levels are pretty fickle ;)

Hope you enjoy!

  • @erni5cp Nerd? You favorited a K'Nex Roller Coaster video . . .

    Your grimmacing grin tells tales of your hypocrisy; judge not those of whom you know nothing.

  • If you are playing on an Emulator MAKE SURE that your ROM does not have any numbers after it, like this: "Mega Man X (V1.1)" or "Mega Man X (V1.0)".

    It should say "Megaman X (J)" or "Mega Man X (U)" or something of that nature. The "(V1.1)" or whatever denotes that it's a beta version of the game, meaning that the Hadouken probably is NOT in there. I had that problem and I wasted an hour or two just trying to figure it out.

    I hope this helps anybody who is having problems.
