Lyrics:
Lirum bililirum, li-lirum, lirum, lirum.
Deh si soni la sordina.
Tu m'intendi ben, Pedrina,
Ma non già per il dovirum.

Lirum bililirum, li-lirum, lirum li
Deh, si soni la sordina,
Deh, si soni la sordina.

Le ses an che t'vo mi ben
E che t'son bon servidor,
Ma t'aspet che l'so ben
Ch'al fin sclopi per amor.
Deh, non da plu tat dolor,
Tu sa ben che dig il virum.

Composed by Rossino Mantovano, "Lirum bililirum", from "The King's Singers, Madrigal History Tour, The Italy".

( 'typo' : correction from Tobypaws):

should be "....bringing the songs to life....", not " live ".)

    Thank you.

  • This section of the excellent You Tube facility has just been adopted here as a stress-buster after talking on the phone to an argumentative person who raises my blood pressure to dangerous levels!

Nothing quite like music , is there.

The King's Singers are superb, diction marvellous,

spot on tune, and bringing the songs to live by memorising and acting them....wonderful !How true when he said how many pop songs would last as long as these madrigals. Many thanks.

    Life-enhancing.

  • It's called "Ihr Bruder". There's an umlaut over the "u" in "Bruder", though. I don't know why it's not on the CD, but I think there's a video of it on here somewhere.

  • Anyone know which madrigal is sung at 1:39? Is this on their madrigal history tour CD?

  • I wish I had this series on DVD.

  • This is superb. Is it possible to obtain the series on DVD, or even VHS? It has been a great joy to both see and hear.

  • Apart from their music, their clothing in this tour was pretty impressive as well!

  • I sang all these songs from the King's Singers singing books in college. I am sure you could probably find them from any print music vendor.

  • I'd also like to know!

I have it on CD, I've loved it since the first listening. I asked a few people if they have the scores and one of them told me to write to King's Singers and ask them to send me the scores:) Maybe we can try.
