The CBS television network revised their fall 1984 "We've Got The Touch" campaign in February of 1985. The "It's Hot In February" campaign reused the graphics and music. This promo is for the Monday night lineup of "Scarecrow & Mrs. King," "Kate & Allie," "Newhart," and "Cagney & Lacey" programs. Video remains the property of CBS, all rights reserved.
All times Eastern:
8:00 SCARECROW AND MRS. KING
9:00 KATE & ALLIE {taped at the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York}
9:30 NEWHART
10:00 CAGNEY & LACEY
This schedule was successful enough to stay together for another season...

"ALL IN THE FAMILY" was on Monday nights [9pm(et)] during the 1976-'77 season, 'corrupt'. Mondays on CBS has always been "top heavy" with sitcoms, primarily between 8 and 10pm(et), ever since the early '50s, when "I LOVE LUCY" was the "keystone" of their Monday schedule at 9. The early part of 1985 was no exception. The network had just "repaired" some ratings damage earlier in the season by forming this line-up:

Since when was Monday sitcom night on CBS? In the 80s I knew it was because of Murphy, Kate/Allie, Major Dad, in the 90s because of Murphy, the Nanny, Raymond, Doug and Carrie, today because of 2.5 Men and How I met your Mother...but was Monday sitcom night in the 1970s? Was "All in the Family" on Monday nights?
