  • Does anybody notice that any new appearances of Miss Piggy have her sounding like a Drag Queen?

  • yeah i think thats cuz Frank oz the guy that did the voice for miss piggy since the beging is no longer doing it and Disney got some drag queen sounding dude to do the voice lol

  • Leave it to the Muppets to recognize that the song is about attempted rape.

  • wow. i don't remember the muppets being this creepy when i was young and impressionable.

  • Da whole time i was screaming "DUDE RUN!!!! RUN!!!!" XD

  • @Trexanh60 Initially... the muppet show wasn't meant to be just a children's program... which made it one of the better family programs. At least until it's later reincarnations which then was recreated for our modern standards and ultimately killed it. ;p

  • @atthehermitage.. I am hoping you mean porcine.. because bovines are cows.....

  • @PatriceFitz Exactly. The song is about attempted seduction, not attempted rape. I'm surprised people don't understand the difference between the two any more.

  • Great Russian Ballet dancer Mr. Rudolf Nuriev

  • This is not quite children program

  • Who is that man? Is he the legendary dancer?!

  • This song was written before it was common for drugs to be put in drinks (though surely such drugs did exist, as in "slipping someone a mickey.") So it's not so much date rape as age-old persuasion -- the characters are named on the score as "The Mouse" and "The Wolf," played here against type with Nureyev as the mouse. Both singers agree that "baby, it's cold outside," indicating a willingness to keep talking and maybe be persuaded...
