What they don't tell you is that you get massive resolution trade off OR use a kinect (like a Sony f717) and multi capture images (localized focusing or "focus stacking") into one images then wrap it with the IR field to create a 3D image. IR info can be embedded in the photo so you can play around with DOP afterwards.
That way you wont get resolution reduction and enabling to play with a 3D image, but it not as elegant as plenoptics lens though, due to timing of focus stacking.

@slowgold20 Creativity? No, they are just shifting that to post. Skill? Yeah maybe, but the camera isn't going to compose the shot for you, or make lighting decisions.
