ActonCO2 - driving five miles less

The Department for Transport's ActonCO2 advert -= part of a cross-governmental campaign to encourage people to reduce their personal carbon emissions.

This advert encourages motorists to travel five miles less per week. The government say this target has been chosen because the public believes this figure achievable, and due to the potential annual 2.7m tonnes CO2 saving.

The campaign says that car-sharing, alternative modes of transport and more careful planning of routes can all help towards the five miles less target.

This is a joke! The Government have been caught out by not reducing congestion because they'd lose on their "fuel tax" take. We drive less they'll tax more!

If the 3 million immigrants allowed into the UK are all taking driving lessons and all start driving cars then this will add 40,000 tonnes of additional CO2 to the UK output .How does me driving 5 miles less a week help.

on a serious note: more pollution is being made by immigration, the fuel to bring them here and the central heating for their homes once they get here (plus what they steal for growing cannabis)
