Ambassador Kenney turned over a Computer Literacy and Internet Connection (CLIC) assistance package to the Nicolas Barreras High School in Polomolok, South Cotabato. The package included seven computers equipped with a wireless broadband internet connection, computer software, a printer, e-books and various computers reference materials. CLIC is being implemented by USAID's Growth with Equity in Mindanao (GEM) Program and promotes computer literacy and information technology among students and teachers in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao and other conflict-affected areas in the island. The CLIC Program will have installed computers and high speed internet connections in up to 650 schools in the region by August, 2007.
