"bird sounds performed live by a local bird." HA.

Impressive!
I wouldn´t know how to handle this thing.
And Reaktor also looks like a complicated program to me.

Я чувствовал настолько хорошим
Найти поистине приятельство
Как мы имеем...
Чем любое еще имейте
Я знал справедливо там
Потому что...
Там вы одним для меня

you built the midi control from scratch? How did you go about programming it to work like a sequencer?

Go to the website: monome dot org. I bought one of 400 40h units they produced, fully assembled. You can now buy the guts as a kit but must supply the leds, case, and top plate. It communicates via OSC (or midi) with the included software. On the site are a variety of applications written by monome creators and users. In this case I use an ensemble that interfaces the monome with a purpose-built Reaktor instrument. monome is preparing to produce more devices, with varying #'s of buttons.

Now you can get just the guts and buttons as a DIY kit for 250 - but you'll still need to build a faceplate and case for it.
