VAUGHAN, ON -- On the first of two Ontario Cup Final Weekends, the Under 12 Boys were the first to play for the Provincial Championship.

The Mississauga Falcons and North Mississauga Panthers took to the field on a warm, sun-drenched field with a light southerly breeze.

Mississauga struck early when #12 Germain Gordon-Hunte ran onto a rebound from #1 Daniel Buckley's initial save and scored with his left foot in the 5th minute.

Mississauga did not rest on their early lead though.

In the 15th minute, #17 Matthew Morris made it 2-0 when he hit a right-footed strike into the bottom left corner, off the post and in.

The Falcons' second half attack got off to a slow start, but the action picked up as the clock wound down.

The Panthers pressed hard for a goal to cut their deficit in half, but Mississauga's back line parried every attack.

The Falcons nearly had a third goal about ten minutes from time, but #7 Evan Brown's shot came back off of the post.

At the final whistle, the 2-0 lead held up and the Mississauga Falcons took home the 2010 Ontario Cup.
