Mormon Doctrine - Adam Is God

Brigham Young taught that Adam Is God and that God revealed it to him .

Now hear it, O inhabitants of the earth, Jew and Gentile, Saint and sinner! When our father Adam came into the garden of Eden, he came into it with a celestial body, and brought Eve, one of his wives, with him. He helped to make and organize this world. He is MICHAEL, the Archangel, the ANCIENT OF DAYS! about whom holy men have written and spoken He is our FATHER and our GOD, and the only God with whom WE have to do.
Every man upon the earth, professing Christians or non-professing, must hear it, and will know it sooner or later! (Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, v. 1, p51)


Some have grumbled because I believe our God to be so near to us as Father Adam. There are many who know that doctrine to be true. (Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, v. 5, p. 331)

I tell you, when you see your Father in the Heavens, you will see Adam; when you see your Mother that bear your spirit, you will see Mother Eve. (Brigham Young, Journal of

How much unbelief exists in the minds of the Latter-day Saints in regard to one particular doctrine which I revealed to them, and which God revealed to me namely that Adam is our father and God I do not know, I do not inquire, I care nothing about it. Our Father Adam helped to make this earth, it was created expressly for him, and after it was made he and his companions came here. He brought one of his wives with him, and she was called
Eve, because she was the first woman upon the earth. Our Father Adam is the man who stands at the gate and holds the keys of everlasting life and salvation to all his children

Some may think what I have said concerning Adam strange, but the period will come when the people will be willing to adopt Joseph Smith as their Prophet, Seer, and Revelator and God! but not the Father of their spirits, for that was our Father Adam. (Brigham Young,

President Young followed & made many good remarks . . . He said that our God was Father Adam.
He was the Father of the Savior Jesus Christ--Our God was no more or less than Adam . . . Michael the Archangel. (Prophet Wilford Woodruff, Journal of Wilford Woodruff, February 19, 1854)

Our Father begot all the spirits that were before any tabernacle was made. When our Father came

@endofus For me, Mormonism was my favourite church. I could have easily attended 24 hours a day let alone 3 hours on the Sunday. But once I realised it was not what it claimed and it's origins and history dubious to say the least I was very dissappointed.

Now I realise that all along I was just being friendshipped and manipulated only for one purpose: Recruitment.

It must be a nightmare for faithfull members to discover thay have been misled all along.

One more thing I was blind at one time. Now I see the true treasure is within. There is know more blindness:) I will die a Latter Day Saint and would die for my beliefs. I am truly Greatfull to Father in Heaven for the great knowledge I have now and its all about love and careing for one another. I am far from perfect but now I see why i'm here and what I have to do. You should take a chance and find out for yourselves. Stop fighting and just humbly kneel down before God and ask in Faith.

Father in Heaven is a very Loving and Forgiving God. He loves all of us even when we rebell. What I don't understand is why when there's so many bad things to fight against like trying to help people who are aethiest or satanic believers that people like you feel that you have to bash other Christian beliefs. Loving each other is the goal. Not bashing each other. That's hatred. Why hate? I love you all no matter what. God Bless:)

Yes he loves so much that he is going to split up families into thre different kingdoms according to the LDS cult.

The only truth found in Mormonism was already spoken of by Jesus. One by one all the false doctorin falls apart from their faith and the only thing remaining is the heart of Jesus' message. So why be Mormon when the truth is in Jesus alone.. Become a follower of Christ and follow what Jesus said.. its all the love and peace you are claiming and its not from man but God Himself.

On personal levels, Muslims, Jews, Christians, Buddhists, and Zoroastrians who are nice to each other in religious dialogue usually get a nice response back. "the curse" was preserved through the Egyptians (Abraham 1:21) Joseph Smith claimed to be from the tribe of Ephrain, son Joseph who married and had children with his Egyptian wife (Gen 41:50-52). So according to the Book of Abraham, Jospeph Smith would be ineligible to hold the Mormon priesthood!

So let me get this straight. A Mormon prophet taught "WRONG" doctrine and is still considered a prophet? Don't Mormons say "Follow the Prophet,they won't let lead us astray" Follow the Prophet ,they know thew way".I'm not LDS but how is this possible?Do they have different standards for their prophets? I guess they do!!! It's ok for them to follow a man who claimed that Adam was God who was Micheal the Arc-Angel and Claim Joseph Smith to be a Prophet but Drank wine,smoked and shot 3 people!!!
