  • dc motor has a greater starting torque than ac motor. thus to accelerate quickly within a shorter time..you require a greater torque..thus a dc motor is best suitable for it..also as u know the ac motor is difficult to control its speed..but in a dc motor it is simple to control and vary speed easily
