  • I put in an application to work in childcare at the YMCA (I am 16 yrs old). The woman who runs the childcare wasn't there so I was directed to give it to a teenage guy who works there. He said shed be back the next week and he'd make sure she got it. A week later I haven't gotten a call back or anything. What if he never gave my application to her?! Or what if they just aren't hiring anyone?

  • @lillyandrosie It would not hurt to check back when you are in the neighborhood. It is also wise to have many other applications at other places. Also think of things you do well which might be needed by people or businesses in your neighborhood and offer to do any odd jobs that bring income your way. You will eventually find something. These are very rough times for job hunting but never give up. Thanks.

  • Helpful! Thanks. :D

  • @gacel92 You can have a resume even without job experience. You list your name and statistics and contact info. You also put down your schooling and training and special skills and abilities. Hobbies might be helpful if they have a job relevance. Give the person many reasons to consider you for the job. Everyone starts somewhere. Good luck with everything. Thanks.
