I've never used a Mavrick so I cannot compare the two. I do enjoy the xodus. It is a good yo-yo that is well built. I can use it for most tricks and it is an affective off string yo-yo as well.

My first string trick was brain twister. That is were I recommend you to start string tricks after you have the basics, which I assume you do. Thanks for watching.
