@mooncove Agreed! Btw, George from Desperate Housewives. He appears pretty early in the show and the first seasons are amazing, so it is surely no loss to watch them! George is not so much a misunderstood soul as a total psycho, but probably still your cup of tea :-)

You know, Ben is my favorite character (loooove Michael Emerson!), but I never realized he smiled on that show. Have you noticed that all those smiles from Lost are either fake or sinister? (Except for the one where Juliet arrives for dinner.) I love that one where he's smiling at Jack and Juliet as they go out the door and then turns away and gets that wily look on his face. Watch the original and check out how many facial expressions he goes through in a matter of seconds. Amazing!

At first I was going to Ben made this show so good, but all the actors were good :) I'll just say why I liked Ben. At the start he seemed like he always had some mission to do and was seemingly always failing but still kept his faith in Jacob that he would help him. Later when he kills Jacob he feels as though he himself died and has no purpose anymore so then so nobly accepts his worthlessness. He always put so much pressure on himself and always failed :(
