The MXR M-132 Super Comp Compressor Pedal is an improved version of the legendary Dyna Comp. This is the guitar effects pedal that's the ultimate source for the "Nashville sound." Attack level control preserves initial volume without sacrificing sweet sustain. Sensitivity control lets you dial in just the right amount of compression. The Super Comp effects pedal has a super-tough housing with bypass footswitch and LED.

The Pigtronix Philosopher's Tone is a state-of-the-art analog compressor / sustainer, providing endless clean sustain. With variable Sustain (threshold), Blend (ratio) and Treble controls, the Philosopher's Tone offers a huge range of compression sounds for the discerning musician. The Philosopher's Tone also contains a smooth diode clipping distortion with a blend control for clean or dirty compression sounds and any mixture of the two. While the Philosopher's Tone distortion rocks on its own, it is designed to play well with other dirt pedals in order to create your ultimate distortion tone that sustains forever.

The Philosopher's Tone is an ideal front end to any guitar pedal rig and a perfect companion to the Pigtronix Mothership Guitar Synthesizer or any other pitch-tracking musical equipment, resulting in even more accurate tracking and increased note duration. Unlike the many compressor clones and their variations that have become so popular in the past 10 years, the Pigtronix Philosopher's Tone is not based on a CA3080 chip. Our pedal has more sustain and less noise than any of those outdated, over-hyped devices. The dynamic range, touch sensitivity, overall transparency and outright sustain of the Philosopher's Tone is un-paralleled in the crowded world of compressor pedals.

The Keeley Compressor pedal has is built using tone-tested components and true bypass switching for a clean, unaffected sound when the pedal is off. Metal film resistors and capacitors ensure the cleanest compressor on the market. Hand-matched transistors to less than 1% tolerance ensures you get a perfectly compressed signal, no chance for unwanted distortions.

The Keeley Compressor is the new standard for guitar compression. It won the Editor's Pick Award from Guitar Player Magazine and, most recently, the Reader's Choice Award for the stompbox category. It features an internal attack control to make it suitable for high-output active basses. It also features an input sensitivity control which allows it to be used in the studio for keyboards, drum machines, for mastering, and other line-level uses.

  • you must play the same with and without the pedals.

we can´t compare them with the clean signal.

  • Each of these are in completely different price ranges.

  • John Mayer and Brad Paisley use the Wampler Ego Compressor. Saw it on Mayer's board in Dallas.

  • Dang, that's sweet! You might like this true bypass looper too. Check it out.. on You Tube ID "xj7P-ajPeZM"

  • nice sounds all around in this video. something tell me you really don't prefer the mxr super comp tho: there's an extremely limited set of mxr - super comp airtime on youtube and i would really appreciate it if people would show a bit more of what the thing can do. although this is the best video i can find of it, it's still 18 seconds.. ; ) thanks for the video tho
