Doctor Who Theme Specials 1 - 2002 Derbyshire Stereo Mix

YES! My series returns for a series of specials! Much like the main show, I have decided to make a series of special uploads. The difference being that my new series will be a lot longer! It may even be longer than my main series! One other thing to note is that I will not be uploading these on a regular day or time, unlike last year. As my social (and school) life is taking up more of my time this time round, the uploads will be somewhat random. As soon as I can get a normal rhythm sorted out, I will re-start the regular uploads.

Phew, now onto the main business! This theme is effectively the same as the Delia Derbyshire theme, just cleaned up and stereoised (is that a word, stereoised?) by Mark Ayres in 2002. It features a few new effects, but is mainly the same.

For some reason he did not use the correct bass notes that were in the B chord before the Eminor chord at 1:11 and at 2:08. He used the notes that segued into the Gmajor chord. He fixed that with the 2006 mix.

@TheStormfam I'm not particularly clued-up as to what the changes are that Mark Ayres made when he did this, but as far as I can tell, the main big difference is that this is in stereo (2-channel) sound, whereas the original is in mono (single-channel) format.

To me this theme would be brilliant on the new series agen and it beats all the other versions f the doctor who theme.

I still prefer Delia's original mono mix to this. Still a decent stereo mix, although the delay/echo effects are in stereo while everything is pretty much still in mono.
