I.Love.This. :) Not a typical convocation occurrence...but this pretty much summarizes the aim of the university, including the athletics side. Another platform to share the gospel with people and show that as Christians, it doesn't mean we'll just roll over in defeat because we're "nice"...no, we will always offer our best to God and compete with integrity--we work hard, study hard, train hard because we want to worship God with our absolute best. "If it's Christian, it should be better!"

@samadamspatriot what is gotten from an education is all about the student, and very little to do with the teacher; if you were able to make it into a "top 20 school" then ou are an exceptional person and should not have wasted that going to a college that did not suit you

Falwell supported South African apartheid, and opposed Nelson Mandela's release from prison. And he criticized Rev Martin Luther King for his political activism. "Preachers are not called to be politicians", said Falwell, "but to be soul winners". He soon forgot about that with his bullshit "Moral Majority"
