@hiddenhorse101 If you can remove the oil were the tube goes it might be possible.

Hi I have the same problem with this neon. And I was wondering if it is necessary to remove the valve cover. Can I just pull the spark plug tube out, put the lock tite on then put it back in with the valve cover on? I just don't want to buy a gasket set.

i did this to my 03 neon today and did everything right and im pretty sure its still misfire causemy exhuast still putters and engine shakes a lil bit still so when i got done doing the tube insert and started the car i did a test i removed the vale tubes one by one and noticed the one i fixed when pulled out of the car it wouldnt die out but the rest of them did make the care wanting to stall so basicly lol im trying to understand wats wrong because all 4 tubes had spark

@greekfrank92 Did you put new spark plugs in if so do a compress test.

I decided to remove the valve cover but I don't have a torque wrench so how would I tighten the bolts when I am putting it back on? Thanks

@hiddenhorse101 It is a little hard over the internet to tell someone how much to toque a bolt it is all feel.What i can suggest is you use a 1/4 inch ratchet much harder to overtoque the bolts with that size it is what i use.
