A Kind of Magic - Bass Cover

My version of the bassline of Queen's 1986 hit "A Kind of Magic", performed with my Alembic Essence bass guitar over a custom-rendered MIDI backing track.

ABOUT THE SONG
"A Kind of Magic" was originally composed by Queen's Drummer Roger Taylor for the film "Highlander". Produced by Queen and David Richards, the single was released on march 17, 1986 and reached number 3 in the Singles Chart of the United Kingdom.

Although Taylor wrote the melody and the harmonization of the song, Freddie Mercury composed the bassline and introduced structural changes in the original composition.

John Deacon, bassist of Queen, performed the bass part in the original recording of the song.

ACERCA DE LA CANCIÓN
"A Kind of Magic" fue compuesta originalmente por el batería de Queen, Roger Taylor, para la película "Los Inmortales". Producido por Queen y David Richards, el sencillo fue lanzado al mercado el 17 de marzo de 1986 y alcanzó la tercera posición en la lista de sencillos del Reino Unido.

Aunque Taylor escribió la melodía ya la armonización de la canción, la línea de bajo fue compuesta por Freddie Mercury, quien además realizó cambios en la estructura de la composición original.

John Deacon, bajista de Queen, interpretó la partitura original para bajo en la grabación.
