Sorry man but I disagree with you.... You missed out on the big picture.... If our government had enforced the laws that are on the books and put a state patrol officer in every hospital, no papers no healthcare! of course if its life threatening it should be treated. But bringing you kid in because he has the flu and the family needs to come for emotional support & take up half the lobby of course there needs to be at least 3 translators or the hospital would get sued..

@Ixpatli mexican health care is better than in the USA?......well 30 million illegal mexicans in the usa must think differently.....all they have to go is go right to the emergency room and pay ZERO....it is all picked up by American citizens in the form of higher premiums. By law nobody can be turned away in an emergency situation....car accident, shooting, knifing, work injury...you name it

Just pray to God that you don't need a specialist. A friend of mine had to move to the US because he would have literally died before he got to see the specialist. We need to move to a free market system, rather than the "government can't keep its dick out of the soup" system we have.

try getting a specialist when you need one in a government run healthcare system. you gotta wait till the government says so. think about it. would you rather get a service provided by a private business that only profits when customers are happy, or a DMV like situation?

Ok think about this if you ever when to a free clinic in the us you wait hrs to to get seen if they even have time for you at all and the doctors are overwhelmed that its like get the patient out fast..but when you pay for the health care you have more doctors to chose from and it don't take that much time your in and out much faster you know

The Canadian system is far from perfect, but at least it takes out the multiple levels of profiteers such as insurance companies.

Insurance companies are the problem in the uSA. Since an insured person has little incentive to go for a cheap treatment, the US system remains expensive and thus, requires insurance companies, creating a perpetual business for these parasites.
