Citizens Commission on Human Rights

In 1950 Hubbard published Dianetics, the Modern Science of Mental Health. This unscientific and unproven method of "clearing" the mind of problems was seen as an alternative to psychiatry. Initially, Hubbard did not consider himself in competition with psychiatry. In fact, he had sought psychiatric help himself earlier on.

In 1969 the Citizens Commission on Human Rights (CCHR) was formed as an arm of Scientology to expose what Scientology founder Hubbard considered the evils of psychiatry. But Dianetics was rejected by the psychiatric community, and Hubbard became increasingly bitter toward the profession.

If psychiatry was truly a valid science, you'd be able to make a video defending it.  Instead you've only offered a video attacking some critics of psychiatry based on their associations with scientology. All educated people know that psychiatry is simply glorified drug dealing.

Teleweb ... what's not scientific about psychiatry?

It's a medical specialization, like neurology, cardiology, etc. Psychiatrists are medical doctors, given the same training and subjected to the same rigors other medical doctors have to achieve in order to practice.

You wouldn't call cardiologists unscientific just because they can't prevent heart attacks, so what's your justification for calling psychiatry unscientific?

I agree, It is not hard to make valid points against psychiatry, Through psychiatry history of lies and deception, Calling L. Ron Hubbard Dianetics not scientific is probably right, Although i haven't read the books, But calling psychiatry unscientific is also right!!!
