CBS Records or Don Arden screwed over the original video when they overdubbed some of the ELO hit songs with the studio versions.

Gave ELO a bad rap.

It is Live! and always was! being a fan myself I know the history of this, much of what you hear ON THIS video IS PLAYBACK yes! BUT actually thats not how it was originally!, some dickhead decided to over dub the studio track on top back in the day This version was mixed in 1978 in mono sound for tv broadcast, Go to my upload of the same song/same night for the true performance!

as many songs as they have on the radio... i cant believe touring was even needed.

@marimaripau dice "payasos!, el sonido fue doblado para el video, no sonó asi en el show". y en general, todos los comentarios se refieren a que no es el sonido en vivo real, pero alguien explica que fué una decisión de algún productor, y dice que en su canal subió el video con el sonido real.

personalmente odio cuando algún productor hace cosas así, detesto los doblajes en videos o discos en vivo, si uno quiere escuchar algo EN VIVO, no se pretende que tenga cosas de estudio!!!.

I agree I went and dont remember none of the start bit on here , I recall white fog with green lazers firing around the arena white suited they were walking around , i thought they were  great but from memory they went through a commercialist disco phase , thats when they lost me. prologue though was a different issue.

Yeh...I think this was shown on the telly...they blatently mimed this one, but the song after it was `night in the city` from the `out of the blue ` album and that was very `live`...Jeff Lynne hated playing live and there was many a concert were people would complain he would press a footswitch and that particular track would be a pre recorded effort...so i`ve heard of course x

Am I the only one to think that Queen ripped off ELO pretty bad, only adding a heavyer guitar sound ?
