I bought both of these recurves at the flea market this morning. I paid $20 each. What makes it even better for me is that I bought these from a dealer. I will be putting them on Ebay.

  • I have a 1953 Kodiak Signature Series in 43#. I have had most of my life. My Uncle used to work for Fred and my whole Family received bows from him when we were kids. I still shoot mine atleast a few times a year. I have shot a fair amount of game with it. I know almost everyone that has bought these have paid over $150.00 for them since 2008.

  • @lthomas1975 Very nice bow. Thanks for sharing.

  • Here they go for several hundred dollars . great deal you got !

  • @bassetter1 Thanks!

  • You cannot be serious! I bought a couple of Bear bows on ebay and was only too glad to pay $150 and $180! How can one guy at a flea market be so lucky. By the way, last year (summer 2010) a guy at a flea market had a beat up Kodiak Hunter 45# and wanted $125 and would not budge when I told him I can go $90.

  • @davisracquet Thanks - It's pretty rare to come across any recurve bows at a good price anymore. It pays to get up early!

  • @terminal99 By the way, I forgot to tell you I have a Grizzly and Kodiak Magnum, I'm going after the Kodiak Hunter to finally "slam the lid" on all this Bear bow collecting. It's a real fetish with me since now that I'm 58, I want them now because as a kid, I couldn't afford these growing up in the 1960's.

  • That's very true! Around 1998 (just before ebay really took off) a guy had a table with around 7 laminated bows that looked very attractive for $20 each, I was about to offer him $100 for all and then luckily, I notice they were all left hand draws. I'm pretty good with restoring, patching and polishing, so now I'm bidding on ebay for Kodiak Hunters with bad arrow rests, and drilled holes. I'm hoping to get one for under $100, doing it this way.

  • Holly shit thats a deal i use to have the green one i want it back

  • @curtisskeete I think I got $120 and $85 for the bows. Its been a while.
