give slower negatives a go
they've proven to increase strength
remember mass follows strength and there are 3 stages of strength
positive,negative,isometric
e.g barbell bench press
1 second up, pause at the top then 3-4 seconds down
you wont fit in as many reps but ill tell you what your overall strength will show dead lift will be a good example to show this
