"But when I say it loud, there is music playing, Maria!" Yay! That makes me so happy. A nice little nod to Leonard Bernstein. I suppose if he says it softly, it's almost like praying.

I always wished Placido was on more often. It seems he was only a fringe Muppet

Placido Flamingo remindes me of Jose Carocia and Pantinco Pistols.

From 8:48-8:54, Maria did tell Placido Flammingo that they will both still each other a lot and be good friends but, as he was singing to her up to her window, she could have told him that she only loves him as a friend but, not as a husband where she said that she doesn't love him. (Probably if she told him that she only loves him as a friend/good friend, while talking outside her window, that would have cleared a lot of misunderstanding for Placido).

I had no idea Richard Hunt was so *sigh* romantic. <3 :'-(

I remember this so much. Maria and Luis makes a great couple . Sona Manzano and Emilo rocks I forgot Emilo's last name. Emilo still plays Luis on Sesame Street Sona doesn't play Maria on Sesame Street no more I've been told now writes childrens books. I am glad Sesame Street was a part of her life she was such a great actress she always entertained me on Sesame Street. I love the bit when Placideo Flamingo sings to Maria and Maria says to Luis don't ask. I love Maria, Luis and Sesame Street xxxx

That's true that, it would've made more sense if Oscar was shouting (Oscar probably wouldn't of minded being bothered with Placido Flammingo singing loudly since Oscar is a grouch) but, it did sound like Oscar's voice shouting, so if it was Oscar's voice, then the one who shouted was Carroll Spinney but, that wouldn't of made any connection or sense to whoever Steve is, unless Carroll Spinney's nickname is Steve or, Steve is someone who was on the show then but, not anymore.

I remember this. When Placido Flamingo was singing to Maria and Maria didn't like it. But Maria loves Louis. Has anyone got the video of the wedding of Maria and Louis. I have heard it's cute. Maria and Louis are the best.

Wasn't there an episode once where Placido Domingo was a guest star, and he and Placido Flamingo met?

That happened in the special "Sesame Street: 20 Years and Still Counting."

I have no idea. It was on the tape when I got it. Maybe a station error.

I actually remember that one. I don't know who Steve is though. It couldn't have been Steve Whitmire since he wasn't on the show until 1993. It would have made more sense if it was Oscar shouting. Anyway, good to see that. I especially liked Placido (Richard) saying the show sponsors. It's too bad the end credits were missing. But it was good to see that ep again.

"Steve" (an ad-libbed name) is actually David Rudman.
