Legendary ONI: Sword Base in 8:02 (Halo: Reach Speedrun)

This is several iterations of Legendary Sword Base in. My original time was well over 10 minutes, taking a few tricks from Cody Miller's 20min ish run. Then I got it down to just over 9, and now 8! The first fight is REALLY hard to do quickly and honestly most attempts end there while trying to push through to the door.

It can go faster than this, but that requires some REALLY insane stuff. For example: its possible to run right past the enemies (shooting a few key ones along the way) in the first courtyard and get to the Target Locator. But that is RIDICULOUSLY HARD. Also, it means you have to completely change your route for the rest of mission since you can't TL both the general and the enemies back inside SB; you have to pick one or the other and think of something new for the other one.

you ever do a single segment run of this? or just one level at a time?

@ixiaceixi I have done a few Single Segments: I can consistently do the entire game in around 2 hours 30 minutes on Legendary.

I've been trying do to a no-death Legendary Single Segment but I've always failed at one point or another :(

@ixiaceixi For heroic I've done it in under 110mins. Just off the cuff. A really good run you should be aim under 100.

That playlist you were commenting on is all old runs now: all have been improved. try HighSpeedHalo . net, or HighSpeedHaloDotNet here on YT. Fresh runs should be coming soon. Even this ONI run has been improved by some 20+ seconds.
