Gottlieb Solar Ride Pinball Machine

This is a Gottlieb Solar Ride pinball machine at a private collector's home.

The game just had an NOS playfield put on it, and all of the bumpers, slingshots, flippers, drop targets, and eject holes completely taken apart, cleaned, buffed up, and made to be like new. It plays wonderfully!

Hi! What is the best way to get a good score on Solar Ride? To shot high? Maybe to the right?

What is so fun about the game are the 5 drop targets to the center left of the playfield.  There are 4 white drop targets surrounding one red drop target in the center of them. If you hit all the white ones down, the red one lights for special.

Such an easy rule, simple to learn but difficult to master. I've gotten the special twice on one ball, but never 3 times.

The video came out way too dark. There isn't a lot of light in the house. I guess this is a flaw of the cheapie Aiptek camera.
