San Diego, University City High School: Practicing for the Science Olympiad Wright Stuff event; a plane launch by Prabhanjan and Guadalupe. In competition they will fly have a 2 minutes and 21 second flight.

  • Do you remember how many winds were used?

  • Around 1600 winds then backing off around 150 winds.

  • what type of rubber band did you use to get that many winds.

    Building my own for science fair :)

  • it rose kinda quickly...

    we went for a different approach in lowering the angle of attack but lowering the front of the wings rather than raising the back; it helps a lot

  • How do you get it to climb like that? Mine only climbs a few feet then starts to glide.

  • How much did it weigh? At my competition this year, the planer must be at least 7 ounces.
