  • The jaw needs to be positioned properly, in the vast majority of cases this involves being moved forward. In very rare circumstances it needs to be pulled back, hitting the back of the joint is normally what causes the headaches, movement disorders and other concerns. In your case it appears the disc has slipped of and in now holding your jaw forward causing it to lock. If you are successful in your treatment please let me know, if not, tell me what you can and let's find a solution.

  • Hi,, I have tmj, my jaw is locked, my dentist made me a mouth piece called a mago to wear all the time, even when I eat. But I was told that my jaw needs to move back, But in this video I hear him say the splint moves the jaw forward Im not sure why this is.
