The Dewarists - maaya

The Dewarists is a new original series. Part music documentary and part travelogue, the show features inspiring musicians collaborating to create original music while traveling to locations across India.

Episode 3 takes us on an intimate visit to Delhi with Indian Ocean, folk rock giants and perhaps the biggest band in India today. Joining them is Mohit Chauhan, celebrated playback singer and balladeer extraordinaire.

And dude.. don't talk about commercialization.. at least not for these guys.. if you think they care about money, well, you just don't know them!

@mananrg y dnt u compose a song and its lyrics in three days, and publish the song ?? lets c hw well u do.

wt u dnt get is the destination ie the song isn the important part here, if uv seen even a single episode of the dewarists ul knw dat its the journey ie hw they got there wich is important. the composition for 3 days of work is excellent. nd again if u wud hav seen the episode ud hear at the end that indian ocean will re-release this song with an additional verse or two at the end.

overacting and lack of dope. two reasons why this video failed.what haunts about indian ocean is the stuff they do AFTER getting their basic melody in place. here they havent built up on the tune they found

and Mohit chauhans voice is not exploited much, infact any damn vocalist would have sufficed at the present level of contribution. they needed to change the mood of the song midway to fit mohit in.

and commercialisation? what do you think all the overacting is for?

i don't get the bad reviews this song is getting....i know this isn't their best song but indian ocean is still the best band around, by a distance......what people forget is that the format of the show requires a composition to be created in less than 2 days and indian ocean ocean take their time to make music (they have made only 6 albums in almost 20 years....unlike a sehwag, dravid takes lot more deliveries to score a century but that doesn't make him a lesser player, does it?
