how many gallons is your tank i have a small fire eel and i would love to knwo what size i will need when it gets that size

currently I have them in a little 55gallon as a "growout" tank. I plan on separating them down the road and putting one in a 120, with a few friendly tankmates and one in a 90gallon with a few tankmates. Fire eels can get quite large, just takes them a while to get that large.

if i got 2 fire eels would they be okay with 2 oscars?

NO WAY!!!!  Oscars are WAY too aggressive to keep with fire eels.

what do you feed yours

Mine are very very picky eaters. They will only eat bloodworms, live ghost shrimp and small live earthworms. I have seen my larger one eat a small feeder minnow once. But only once.

@chefrific +1 to this (2 years later). my 5" oscar munches on the poor 5" fire eel. I had to put the eel in a 25gal grow out tank, then i'll switch them when the eel's bigger.

@chefrific actually oscars are only semi aggresive they do not attack any of my smaller fish but my cichlids do so i dont kno wat ur talkin bout because all they want is food
