TSS-James Kim talks about camers

In 2004, James did this segment about digital cameras, comparing 2.0mp cameras to 8.0mp cameras and DSLR's.

I wanted to point out that things have not changed that much; People still use megapixels as a way to classify quality in a camera.

Now James mentions the features in a 2.0mp compared to a 8.0mp, yes the 8.0mp has more options, but one thing that threw me off was his comment about the CCD.
I have two Canons, a Powershot SD200, and a Powershot S3 IS. Both have a CCD of 1/2.5 inch. Which isn't that bad. However, the 200 has 3.3mp and the S3 has 6.0mp.
Maybe I'm just getting anal about it, but the CCD and mp aren't directly related. Bigger CCD=better camera, usually.

I've been looking at cameras lately too. Lately I'm considering the PowerShot S3 IS by Canon. It's nothing high-end but I could get it for about $300 on eBay brand new, and it's got lots of features. I even saw one at Target and tried it (it's awesome).

I have that camera and I'd recommend it. There isn't much of a difference between the S3 and the S5, so it's a good deal right now to get the S3.

my phone is 3.2mp.and thats too low...you can notice the difference between 2mp and 8mp!!!
