Richard Smith (guitar) , with Jim Nichols (guitar), John Nichols (bass) and Tommy Emmanuel (drums) playing Cascade, as recorded by Chet Atkins, at CAAS 2006. See www.richardsmithmusic.com for more info about Richard.
Ok. So if I can sort of strum basically half a song then you have no right to say that TE is any better than me? How absurd.
Its usually possible to tell who is better though not always so clear cut, as the styles are different.
I think TE is probably less trad in style than RS. Too hard to really say who is better as their pretty much even in both respective fields. SV is good at what he does but certainly not in the same league as GG. (or TE or RS either)
Chet would be proud. This is a monster tune.

i think the difference is, that tommy is more extrovertedly. He plays with more energy in his movements, but to judge who is better is pointless.

Thank you for conceeding that I am right. Not many people are big enough to do that.
Once players achieve a certain level it becomes a little pointless to judge who is better. I think TE and RS are 2 such players.

I've clearly won this arguement.
