http://live.pirillo.com/ - Community member Sven is running Windows XP in a Virtual Machine. Is it possible for a virus to spread to the real machine? In theory, it is possible.

  • My final cut pro does nothing but crash

My Safari does nothing but Crash

My firefox is stable, but it will crash every once in a while.

My INternet Explorer on my Dell crashes more and more now.

IT'S ALL COMPUTERS PEOPLE. Mac and PC both have their good points and bad points. To be a team player for one type only is pretty ignorant.

  • I'm watching this in a virtual pc!!

  • Would a NAT Type Network work?

  • i hate when my pc is freeze, and i go for pc security software to fixed it for me.

  • PC Inception is where someone's able to attack a host OS even though they were using a virtual PC within a virtual PC within a virtual PC within a virtual PC within their host OS.

Most people think PC Inception is possible, but I did it once.

  • @beachnative420 A tip of the hat to you!

  • @beachnative420 but remember, just to be safe don't save your files from the VM OS in the home directory. make another shared directory because even though Linux is practically imune to Windows viruses it can be a carrier.

so make sure you keep it safe.

    Peace out

  • @Aldaris2008 NIce!!!!

  • I would recomand using a Linux host because it has a very strong security BY DEFAULT. this means you will be protected by the Linux firewall and the contents of your virtual machine will be safe.

remember, VM works as an application. and it depends on the host OS. your work on the virtual OS depends on the security of both OS.

    example: Linux Ubuntu - Host

Windows XP - Guest in VM

Data Base File - on Win XP

the DBL is protected FIRST by linux firewall and then by Win XP.

    Hope it helps.

  • tho can u download and install avg free to be safe

  • install linux or mac in VM

  • i used to have a PE coach named Ben Pirillo he go's to hughston elementary in plano,TX and he looks a lot like you wondering if you know him
