The title says it all :)
although the original film of (the cabinet of Dr Caligai) is uncomparable _ even for those who find silent cinema dull_ , but this remake of 2005 is a very unique experience , i totally loved it in everything.

Very well done! Just watched it last night. A wonderful homage to the original. One of the creepier films I've seen in years. Bravo!

@malfunksyon i remember there was a german film festival in the philippines..a few years ago by the german embassy..they had free screenings of films and silent movies like dr. mabuse and the cabinet of caligari etc..i remember they change the soundtrack to modern music techno/rock...

@malfunksyon thanks, but i've seen the original. I was talking about the remake. Do you think it's worth buying? If it sucks I would torrent it to watch regardless but if its good I want to support them and buy the DVD

Not really sure what the point of remaking this movie this way was. The original looks better. Scene for scene remakes never work because it's impossible to capture that special something that made the original great in the first place.
